St. Baldrick’s 2012

So, I’m totally still processing the day yesterday, but wow, was it ever amazing.  We shaved 135 heads at Sunday’s St. Baldrick’s event, my Pap just happened to be the “oldest” head of the day.  🙂

This event is so important and so humbling that is hard for me to put it into words.  I was so fortunate to talk to so many people yesterday, each with their own story and their own struggles. I could see that they were comforted by this event and by so many kind people.

I love the message of hope that this event brings. I love that it keeps my dear friend, Abbey, fresh in my memory. I love that I can see and feel God’s grace throughout the day.

I can’t thank my Pap enough for doing this for me and for the cause. I’ll treasure this photo forever.

🙂 And this one too…

Corey and I both are so very thankful to all of our friends and family that came out, that donated and that kept us in their thoughts yesterday.  We felt the love.

Oh! You can find local news coverage here, here and here. 🙂
