{Savannah} Class of 2015

Ohmygoodness. What. A. Thrill…this shoot was!!  This beautiful young lady was once a giggly, adorable, silly, smiley, bouncy second grade student of mine when I taught in Cincinnati.  To say it was an honor that Savannah and her mom, Holly, asked me down to do Savannah’s SENIOR PICTURES is an understatement, to say the least. What a great time we had catching up and chatting. Savannah and her Mama’s main request was to capture her doing what she loves best, riding horses.  🙂

Savannah’s usual horse and barn were unavailable for our session, so her friend Lilly was kind enough to help us out at the barn where she works.

Savannah attends Lebanon High School and says the best thing about it is, “The whole experience is amazing! Making new friends, getting to join clubs where you and others have something in common, all the activities, Friday night football games, school dances, and being able to find yourself through all 4 years of high school.”

She says the worst thing about it is that it goes by too fast. savannah-4savannah-5

Her favorite movie is “Forest Gump” because it shows how you can overcome obstacles and still make something of yourself no matter what or who stands in your way.

Can I just tell you how cool it was to shoot around these big animals?  It was way cool.  Okay, okay…I may have “jumped” or “ran” or “squealed” a few times as that big horse was getting close to me…but still, it was awesome!

In her spare time, Savannah hangs out with family and friends, goes horseback riding, goes to Kings Island/the mall/movies/the park/and watches movies on Netflix.

Oooohhhh I love this one! It’s sooooo you, Savannah.

Savannah says she can’t live without her family and friends. She says, “They keep me grounded. They’ve made me who I am today. I’m blessed to have them.”

Gaaaah!!! This!savannah-12

After the barn, we scooted over to the little downtown square of Lebanon, and I was in total amazing-spot-to-take-pictures-overload. Everywhere we turned was ADORABLE.

Savannah’s advice for underclassmen: “Just remember, in high school first impressions will stick with you through all 4 years. When you walk through the doors that first day, remember that it’s for the next 4 years so enjoy it and make some memories.”

I started asking seniors to share a favorite quote this year, and love their insight.  Here is one of Savannah’s: “We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” -Walt Disney

Love this!  Keep moving forward!

Savannah and Holly, that you so much for being great at keeping in touch all of these years, and for thinking of me for this important milestone. I enjoyed our day together more than you know.  Savannah, I am so proud of the young lady you’ve become, and can’t wait to see what your bright future holds.  I’m sure we’ll be keeping in touch, but let’s try not to make it 10 years before we see each other again! Much, much love to you! ♥
