The Pumpkin Patch…Past and Present

This weekend we went to one of our favorite places, the Pumpkin Patch!  We’ve gone to this patch for the last 4 years and always have a great time.  This year, getting the kids out of the house was a challenge…you know how kids can be when you’re reeeeally excited for something, they want to do the opposite. 🙂

Anyway…once we got there it was, once again, great!  So, I put together some little collages (that I’m freaking out over!) that show our sweet girls over the years.  There are none of Cate’s first year, and when Anna was just 3 months, she stayed with Nana and Papa instead of going to pick pumpkins.  And, by the way, these were all taken with our point-and-shoot, please excuse the quality.  🙂

Okay, this one is the best!  I swear we didn’t plan Anna’s outfit to be the SAME ONE Cate wore when she was 2.  When you have lots of clothes you reuse, it’s just bound to happen. (So sorry, baby boy, I hope you like pink!)

The girls loved feeding the bunnies this year and they got to help give a baby cow a bottle…

The hayride was not open this weekend due to the wet conditions (darn Ohio!), but they got an extra long train ride instead.

Thanks to my little cousin, Savanna, who made the girls their hats!  (They love them!)

Stay tuned for pumpkin carving picts this week!

Corey - First comment! It’s funny to see that while their bodies are getting bigger they still have the same little faces of the years. By the way they think, they fed the cow but daddy got stuck with it in the end. Great post Jaime!

Jennifer Morgan - I never thought they looked that much alike until I see the one of them in the same clothes at about the same age. Oh baby boy…you are going to have so many “mommies”!!!

October 29, 2009 - 4:54 pm

Carol Downerd - Can’t wait to see next year with 3 kids. I have a feeling the little boy won’t wear pink in public. Maybe when sleeping. But I know he will have plenty of boy clothes to wear. The girls are too precious. The hats are great. Have fun carving pumpkins and going out trick or treating.

Fall Family Photos

I had the pleasure of photographing another beautiful family last weekend!

They had a gorgeous yard with a (dry!) patio for, of course… a couch!  Have I mentioned that I LOVE indoor furniture in outdoor photos?  🙂  I love the colors of the trees too, they almost look fake!  The family was brave and super cooperative. It was a cold and yucky day, but they all sat in the cold  for the shot.

Proud Mom/Grandma, Pam, with her two children. Pam is a dear friend of my mom’s…which reminds me…thanks, Ma, for all of the business you’ve been drumming up for me!  🙂

DSC_0102Beautiful family!

I LOVE those squashy cheeks being smoooooshed by a kiss!

Pam’s sister, brother-in-law, and niece (who’s birthday was the day of the shoot!).

My favorite…

I had a great time, thank you ALL so much!

Momma Dar - A fabulous job! I wish my entire family was here to do a Fall Photo Shoot! My favorite time in Ohio. Great job, wonderful pics and it was fun to see Pam and her beautiful family! Hmmmm…. if the leaves don’t all fall off today, maybe we could do just Tim and I. Hmmmmmmm……. Love you Jaima! Bunches and Bunches!

The Fashion Show

Last weekend we had the pleasure of keeping our two sweet niece’s overnight.  It was a blast!  We ordered pizza, made ice cream sundae’s, watched a movie…but the highlight of the sleepover was The Fashion Show.  🙂  My oldest niece is SOOOO good with the little kids, and since they worship the ground she walks on, it works out very nicely.  The Fashionista dressed up all the girls and even taught them how to work the “runway”.   It was too cute.

The Big Red Couch

I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful family last weekend and guess what?  When I got there they had an awesome RED couch outside for pictures!  I was delighted!  I love the look of furniture in outdoor photographs  and a red couch?  Are you kidding me?!!

This was my first experience with a large group and it was wonderful.  I instantly felt

comfortable with this close knit family.  They were easy going and so fun!

The proud grandparents.  The whole family lives close by to each other,

you could tell they share a lot of love and memories.

Twin sisters!

We did individual family pictures next.  In keeping with the red and brown theme,

they had red and brown blankets to sit on, and red pillows too!

How cute are these two families!!?

They even had a silly aunt there to make everyone smile!  🙂

Beautiful. Girls.

Sweet. Sweet. Sweet.

I simply can’t thank this adorable family enough!  They were kind and helpful, fun and so easy to photograph.  I hope you all enjoy your pictures and the memories you continue to make together.

Margie - love, love, love the pics! awesome jaim!

Like most, Fall is one of our favorite times of the year. We love the cool air, the gorgeous leaves, and Fall activities… football, apple picking and pumpkin-patching. For me, its always a season of counting my blessings and feeling and abundance of thankfulness. Years ago, after the passing of one of my best friends, I began to look at the Fall with new eyes. I have always been thankful for the lessons she taught me, but being grateful for every single second seems to be the one that really stands out…especially in the Fall, not sure why that is.

So, anyway, today we took advantage of a chilly Saturday and did some apple pickin’.

Whoa!  Picking apples is hard work!  Anna closed her eyes with each apple she plucked.

Thanks goodness for a tall daddy!!

Ahhhhhh…the sweet sound of giggling girls…

In other exciting Lenhart news, we’ve found out we’re having a BOY!! The sheer joy and thankfulness that we have another healthy baby on the way is simply overwhelming. I feel like I’ve been waiting a long time now to find out what my “puzzle” will look like when it is complete. You know, what my little family will be.  How will we look when we’re “finished”.  Seeing that tiny baby boy growing, surrounded by two beautiful, delightful big sisters waiting, and an adoring husband holding my hand was one of the most amazing moments of my life.  Wow. Somebody pinch me, is just doesn’t get any better than this. (Told ya I was feeling especially thankful!)  😉

October 3, 2009 - 10:30 pm

Shari Schwab - Ok, those pic are all so good but that one of Anna with her eyes closed picking the apple looks 3-D! What a nice family day for all of you. Also, big congrats on baby boy! I was so happy to get to talk to Corey when he called Mom with the good news. We’ll be in touch soon for our annual mexican night.
