So, you may or may not have noticed, but our girls have their tights and leotards on A LOT.  Most mornings, their idea of “getting dressed” is tights, leotards and a ballet skirt.  I happen to think it’s one of THE CUTEST things in the entire world. (I LOVE having little girls!!!!)

St. Baldrick’s 2010

DSC_0033 (2)

It’s that time of year again!  On Sunday, March 14th we will, once again, be honored to participate in the Canton St. Baldrick’s Event!  This year, we’ll be at Quaker Steak and Lube on Dressler starting at 1pm.

I’m always so touched by the amount of support my friends, family and wonderful blog readers give to this worthy cause.  As always, St. Baldrick’s becomes a family event for us.  This year, I’ve been volunteering in the months leading up to the event, Corey will volunteer (no shaving this year) in my place on the day of the event, and my brother, Jake, has graciously agreed to shave his head (again!).

So…how can YOU help?  🙂

1. DONATE to my brother!

Go to:

Then, “View All Participants” in blue on the right side.  Look for “Jacob M.” He’s with the team “Bald B4 Gray” and has a picture of Chewbacca next to his name.  Then, make a donation!!

2.  Sign up to SHAVE YOUR HEAD!!!  You can sign up on the St. Baldrick’s website, there’s no minimum amount you have to raise.

3. Submit (to me!) an item/gift basket/ gift certificate from your business for the silent auction.  These items are due by the end of February!

4. COME to the Event!  Quaker Steak is donating 10% of their sales on Sunday, March 14th from 1pm to 4pm.

Thank you all in advanced for your support!

Margie - Well, I won’t be shaving my head and I probably won’t make it up to Canton for the event, but I can definitely donate to your brother. Good luck! 🙂

February 18, 2010 - 1:22 pm

Jaime - Thanks so much, Margie. And while I understand you not wanting to shave your head, I’m sure you would be beautiful even bald!! 🙂 Thanks again, friend.

February Snow

Well, it’s here. February…what seems like the LONGEST month ever!  I didn’t think I’d be able to face the snow and cold on Saturday, but when I finally did roll myself out of bed (and yes, I’m to the point where I must roll out of bed), it wasn’t that bad.  The girls and Corey had the best time playing outside, and I had some fun taking pictures then making hot coco and Rice Krispie Treats for when they came in to warm up.  Kissing those chilly pink cheeks when they came in made it all okay.  But still, February, if you wouldn’t mind…hurry up a little, k?

Though it took a while, I did manage to get the driveway cleared while the kids were playing.  It was hard work!!  Just kidding, honey!!!  🙂 Thanks, Corey, for shoveling all that snow!

February 9, 2010 - 6:05 pm

Larissa - LOVE #1, #5 & #7. I can’t wait for February to be over for you too!!!! 🙂

February 9, 2010 - 8:03 pm

Larissa - Sorry – not that they aren’t all great but I apparently cannot count. My LOVES are 1, 6 & 8!!

February 9, 2010 - 11:46 pm

Carol Downerd - I can’t believe all that snow. It looks like the girls had a blast. I hope February goes quickly because we all know what happens soon. I know everyone is excited to meet William Morgan. Stay safe and warm. Love to all of you.

February 10, 2010 - 4:20 pm

Corey - Thanks Rissa I had to go back and count through those pictures twice to see what you were talking about.

February 12, 2010 - 11:36 am

Aunt Barb - What cute cute pictures, that one of little Pixie Anna smiling on that sled with those
red rosey cheecks, OMG, makes you just want to hug her, and Cate, how adorable,
she looks like she is loving every minute of it and what a great Daddy for pulling that
sled thru the yard, you are so truly blessed, what a wonderful little family, and with
that addition soon to be here, how exciting!! Jaime, I know you are so anxious
to have that little boy and be able to “get” out of bed instead of rolling, :), it will
be here soon, hang in there!!

Love You All, Aunt Barb

Friday Nights

It’s become our little Friday night ritual to make pizza, eat popcorn and pizza on TV trays and watch a movie.  Sounds like good clean fun…and it is!  🙂
