Our trip to Disney back in February was, well, magical. It truly was one of the most amazing trips we’ve had with our kids, ever. Taking my own children to Disney has been a dream of mine forever, we were so thankful that we had the opportunity to share this with our kids at this time in our lives. So, there are three videos below of all of our photos, but I know, I know, who has time to sit and watch aaaaaall that happiness?! If you need to 🙂 you can skip down to some of our favorites that I pulled from the slide show.
Welcome to the happiest place on Earth! 🙂Hmmm..think I’ll do a Vacation Top Ten here…
#10 The looks on the girl’s faces when they saw THE castle for the first time.
#9 Having the company (and help!) of my amazing in-laws. They were thrilled to go on this trip with us and we were thrilled to have them with us!
#8 Freedom from “The Schedule”…its one of my favorite things about vacations in general, having the time to hang out, play and in Cate’s case, bust a move in the middle of the Magic Kingdom!
#7 Will was awesome. We weren’t sure how he would do, but he was so so good. Also thankful to Papa for getting so many photos of William (and myself…its nice to know that our kids will look back on the photos and see that I was there too! 🙂 )
#6 Thankful kids. Our kids were sooooo good on this trip! They were content and thankful and happy to be in each moment.
#5 The 3 o’clock Parade. Oh man, this Parade was awesome. On the first day, we had spent the morning riding rides, snacking, taking in Magic Kingdom, but we hadn’t yet seen any characters. We just happened to catch the Parade, and it was the first time that we all had the realization that we were ACTUALLY IN DISNEY!! The girls freaked at their first sighting of all of the Princesses and Characters and it seemed like from that moment on there was so much magic in everything we did.
#4 The Princess Breakfast. OMG. We got to go INSIDE Cinderella’s castle and eat breakfast while meeting all of the princesses. It was totally amazing and one of all of our favorite memories. As you can see, the girls were feeling quite regal from the moment they arrived at Magic Kingdom that day.
Papa caught this great shot of Will! He was not so impressed by all of the Princesses. Haha…love it!!
#3 Matt. My dear friend Matt (just to the right of Goofy) is a wonderful person and a Disney dancer. His kindness took our trip from amazing to truly magical. He was kind enough to meet us at the gate each morning that we were there and share some of his guest passes with us. He rearranged his work schedule so that he could preform at MK on the days that we were there. We got to see his show a few times and being my former dance buddy, I loved watching him preform again. AND he set up the MOST AMAZING private meet and greet that I have ever heard of!
So, Matt texted me on our 2nd day at MK and said, “Hey! Lets surprise your family today!” Umm, okay! We met him at The Castle, walked in a teeny secret door and saw this waiting for us. It was ahhhhhmazing and totally overwhelming.
#2 Time with the kids. We really felt like we got so much quality time with our babies on this trip and we loved every minute of them/it.
#1 The Plan. This vacation really took a lot of planning and we were so happy with how everything went and how go-with-the-flowy everyone was. Our last day was spent at my old stompin’ grounds, Animal Kingdom. A lot had changed since my summer job there back in ’99 but being there as a mom this time was waaaay cooler.
Okay, if you’re still here, congratulations and thanks. 🙂 Disney was truly outstanding and totally magical and we can’t wait to go back…someday… 🙂
